No one can know if I am perfect

No one can know if I am perfect, I am the only one who can tell.  Today I am in tune with my conscience. I have no conflict inside myself. I can sense the presence of God and heavenly spirits around me.  I am not as perfect as I will be tomorrow but today I am just fine.

I will make mistakes today, possibly. But, that is not because of a selfish heart or lack of wanting to serve someone else, it will, simply be because it is today. Tomorrow I will not make that mistake.  I will have grown one more day.

Let judgement be made by the creator, after all He/She knows best. Our conscience, however, does understand right from wrong too, and will automatically make us aware if what we just said, or did, or even planned, will be helpful or hurt someone else, the creation, or even myself.

That is why your conscience knows and remembers not only every action you have performed, but  also  every  thought  you  have  entertained.  Your  conscience  is  aware  of  these  things  before your own teachers, parents or even God are. Hence, if you were to live in absolute obedience to the  commands  of  your  conscience,  which  is  your  teacher  for  eternity,  you  would  be  absolutely guaranteed to have eternal life. Such is the way of God’s creation.

Just a mistake...

It is important to differentiate between a mistake and an evil act.

Mistakes are made constantly by everyone, especially good people because good people are not afraid to go forward and do things that they think will make the world better.  Along the way, due to many different reasons, mistakes will be made.  That is OK.

If a human being is told from the time that they are a young child that mistakes are part of learning then suddenly a mistake will be an integral part of the learning experience necessary to become the best person than one can be.

An evil act on the other hand, is just what it is, doing something purposely to hurt someone else including oneself.

Mistakes should not need forgiveness.  Just like a child learning his ABCs the child does not need to be forgiven he simply needs to repeat his ABCs again until he gets it right.

However, we humans have a hard time to differentiate mistake from evil act and evil acts can end up being seen as mistakes and vice versa.

It will take time and a lot of “mistakes” until we figure out which is which and act accordingly.  Until then, forgiveness in our mind and heart in every circumstance is a major component for spiritual growth and making us be the right person every time.

More on Perfection

No one can know if I am perfect, I am the only one who can tell.  Today I am in tune with my conscience.  I have no conflict inside myself.  I can sense the presence of God and heavenly spirits around me.  I am not as perfect as I will be tomorrow but today I am just fine.  I will make mistakes today, possibly.  But, that is not because of a selfish heart or lack of wanting to serve someone else, it will, simply because it is today.  Tomorrow I will not make that mistake.  I will have grown one more day.

The statement above does not speak about the author - It is simply stating some reflections about what perfection might be.

Perfection is a Moving Target

I am perfect when, as a newborn, I cry for attention and think only of myself.

I am perfect when, at six years old, I write on the wall with my new crayons and run in a mud puddle with my new shoes.

I am perfect when, at sixteen years old, I want to change the world, cry out for peace and freedom, and challenge the authorities

I am perfect when, at twenty-six years old, I seek for long-term companionship, look for stability in my new job, try to understand the world around me, and make efforts to belong.

I am perfect when, at thirty-six years old, I volunteer as coach for the middle school Girls softball team, I camp out with my son and his boy-scout group, I donate blood occasionally. When I try to be the best I can be, seeking God guidance every day. When I obey the good laws, and involve myself in trying to change what I feel are inadequate or bad laws.

I am perfect when, at forty-six years old, I cry within my soul for the suffering of humankind, I have no hate in my heart for evil, but I hope that even It, someday will feel love and compassion.

I am old today; I have no fear of death. I did my best and helped the world to be a better place. I thank God for His constant presence, His patience, and His love. I dream of a peaceful word and seek to help it from the world I am about to reach. I am perfect.
