About Pride

The Divine Principle as taught by Rev. Sun Myung Moon is a truth that needs to be applied every

single day in our relationships. At home, at work, and at play the Divine Principle has a place. Do not keep that seat empty.
Self-preservation is a natural mechanism that exist to help us stay alive. In a protected environment when surrounded by people who care and love this self-preservation sometimes become, “pride”. Having too much pride can easily destroy loving relationship between family members, friends, and co-workers.

We need to remember what we learned through the Divine Principle. The hardest things to give is ourselves. Our thoughts, our wants, and our needs are precious to us, they define us. Though we know that we must experience the kind of giving that could erase our own existence, it is hard to do, but it is what we need to do.

When we fight with someone we love, it is because we believe that the other person feels that what they have to say is more important than what we have to say, but in reality – the person speaking feels just like us. The person speaking feels unheard and undermined. The person speaking feels frustrated, just like us.

The fastest way to stop the fight is to remain silent with our voice, but also with our mind, and with our heart. That is what self-deny means – it is the hardest thing to do, but if done correctly, will allow the other person to calm down and do the same. True love will once again flow between both of you, of that, you can be very proud.

Sharing truthfully what we think with our love ones is necessary, but learning how to do it take time, sometimes it may take a very long time.

God will put a diamond ring of the Kingdom of Heaven on your finger!

I don't often put Rev. Sun Myung Moon's words on this blog, though I collect many of them. But I had to put this one up.

What will you do in your life? Leave a tomb of love behind. Let us leave a tomb of love behind! If you live inside a tomb of love, you will feel no bitter sorrow. You may get tired of living in a place like a tomb but will feel no bitter sorrow if you live in love. If we leave a tomb of love behind in our lifetime, our life will be a success for eternity. If you live like that and die, God will bring His sons and daughters to welcome you in the spirit world. If there’s no ring on your hand, God will put a diamond ring of the Kingdom of Heaven on your finger. If you’re not well-dressed, God will dress you in the richest apparel fit for the royalty of the Kingdom of Heaven. (97-167, 1978.3.12) CSG – page 591

It shows the love, the appreciation, and the care that True Father (Rev. Sun Myung Moon) has for the members.

Where was Gabriel and Michael?

Where were Gabriel and Michael?
What were they doing?
Did they come and counsel Adam and Eve about their relationship with Lucifer?
The Divine Principle explained clearly what the act of the Fall of Man was, but that is only the last chapter of a very important story. What lead Adam and Eve to have a sexual relationship prematurely, when they were not ready and not capable of handling the responsibility of it? They were living in a world that was supposed to be very good with no evil. However, by the time they consummated the relationship evil was already very much there. It was too late.
What happened? I think it is important to truly understand this. It will help us explain the Fall of Man in greater details and will help us avoid repeating this most horrible mistake when we finally have a world centered on God once again.

The story behind the picture
Cosmic Background Radiation

NASA/WMAP Science Team
Date: 1964
Discovered by accident in 1963, the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation is essentially noise left over from the creation of the universe. Dating back to just 380,000 years after the big bang, the CMB is a baby picture of our universe, and finding it was a triumph of cosmology.

The Donald Trump phenomena

A self-centered man, not very kind to most people, intelligent, educated, bold, and not afraid. No one in our past American history would have chosen him as the leader of our country, but the times we live now are different. There is truly a spiritual war going on, a final show down between the forces of good and the forces of evil.

During the election process I did not know who our president should be, I did not feel a lot of qualifications for either of them – but I do not know everything. On the other hand, I trust that God does. Therefore, I simply pray that whomever God could work with the best, would be the person elected.

Since, Mr. Trump became president, I do not gloat, and I do not despair, I simply wait. Wait and see what will happen. No one can possibly predict, his next tweet, his next move, or his next words…
One thing I know for sure is our country, as is, today, needs a serious wake up call. We do not love ourselves, we do not respect ourselves as citizens of America. We behave childishly in many cases and do not respect the freedom that is ours. We mi-use it, we drag it in the mud, we do not even understand its value. Some of us think it will be there forever. It might be possible that God is using Mr. Trump as a wake-up call for us.

On the other hand, I also see many good people in our country. People who want to take responsibilities and are trying to do what they can in a non-reactionary way and in a non-violent way. So, as I said in my first paragraph we are in the final show down between the forces of good and the forces of evil, not just in this country but in the world, not just in this physical world but also in the spiritual world, and inch by inch – We are making progress towards heaven in both worlds.

Do you believe in God?

Which one? There are many Gods in this world. I cannot say for sure that I believe in the God of the person who is asking the question, unless, this person, first, tells me who God is, for him or her.

Yes, I believe that I am a created being and therefore there is a creator, someone who gave life to humanity on the onset. I also believe that the earth and the whole universe was created by a being who was capable of planning and executing a very complex creation.

Why do I believe?

I was born that way. I believe before I was conceived. I have the feeling that my ancestry, for many generations, were strong believers in a Christian God, therefore the whole spiritual atmosphere surrounding me from the start.

I never wavered in my belief in God, but I did modify it as I grew. My own thoughts, reflections, spiritual life gave me a different understanding of who God is, his motivation for creating, and his way of thinking and loving. So, the God that I believe in today is not the God that I was born to know. So, if I was asked by someone from my Parents generation who believed the way they did if I believed in God, I will have to say, no, I do not.

So far, the best definition of God that I have come across is this one:

God, the Creator of all things under the sun, is the true parent of all humanity. He is not a parent in the parochial sense, existing only for a certain religion, a certain race, or the residents of a certain region. You may call Him by any name, be it Jehovah, Allah, or any other. What is important is that He certainly exists, lives as the true parent of all people, and is carrying on the great work of Creation. He governs everything in the universe, and He carries out His providence through history in accordance with the principles and laws of nature that He set up at the beginning of time.

A thought about a painting

While reading this morning… I thought:
Compared to the process of creation, the course of restoration is far more difficult. God has had to walk a path of tribulation many times more difficult. God has been working through history to provide a ladder for human beings, who fell into the realm devoid of the Principle, and pull them up. (CSG - 42-277, 1971.03.27)

I imaging an artist wanting to represent the bold red words (above) through a painting. Then, the thought of not wanting to do that came to my mind, because the image on the painting would have become an icon for people to worship and their own imagination, or more like, their own thought process development would be stunted by the painting created.  We don’t need to think when we have someone who already has is done and represented on the physical plane (like a painting).  Then I thought of the Islamic faith that does not permit any religious painting.  It suddenly made sense to me.  Why, would that be right.  One, as I said above, once an image is presented to you of a thought then it stops us (humanity) from thinking further.  Two, it creates a vehicle for bigotry and crime in the name of the faith (just like many Christians did in the past and Islamic faith individuals are doing today).

No one can know if I am perfect

No one can know if I am perfect, I am the only one who can tell.  Today I am in tune with my conscience. I have no conflict inside myself. I can sense the presence of God and heavenly spirits around me.  I am not as perfect as I will be tomorrow but today I am just fine.

I will make mistakes today, possibly. But, that is not because of a selfish heart or lack of wanting to serve someone else, it will, simply be because it is today. Tomorrow I will not make that mistake.  I will have grown one more day.

Let judgement be made by the creator, after all He/She knows best. Our conscience, however, does understand right from wrong too, and will automatically make us aware if what we just said, or did, or even planned, will be helpful or hurt someone else, the creation, or even myself.

That is why your conscience knows and remembers not only every action you have performed, but  also  every  thought  you  have  entertained.  Your  conscience  is  aware  of  these  things  before your own teachers, parents or even God are. Hence, if you were to live in absolute obedience to the  commands  of  your  conscience,  which  is  your  teacher  for  eternity,  you  would  be  absolutely guaranteed to have eternal life. Such is the way of God’s creation.
